Breakaway
The FRC 2010 game, Breakaway, is played on the traditional 27 x 54 ft carpeted field. Breakaway is a game of soccer and hangman. Alliances of three robots each earn points by scoring balls into their goals. Bonus points can also be scored in the last 20 seconds when robots elevate themselves on the alliance tower or on another robot. This year, robots must be designed and driven carefully to cross two bumps that run across the width of the field, making the game challenging and fun.
